Main Street / Blush Hill Update Aug. 20-27

BLUSH HILL

Paving is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, Aug. 26-27, on Blush Hill Road and Lonesome Trail. The work is contingent on weather and could be rescheduled if there is steady or heavy rain.

MAIN STREET

No major impacts or disruptions are expected this week.

Some remaining sidewalk work will be completed to replace concrete sections in Segments 3 and 4 that didn’t cure properly.

Other final repairs remain to be done on exterior features at some businesses that were affected by road and sidewalk construction. That work will be completed in the next few weeks and will not involve disruptions to traffic.

To commemorate the completion of the project and a decade of transformation since Tropical Storm Irene, the community is invited to a celebration and ribbon cutting planned for Friday, Aug. 27, starting at 5 p.m. at the intersection of Main and Stowe Streets. Details of the event and photographs of the construction project are online at waterburyworks.com.
