After multiple public appearances at community events since he arrived in Vermont in July, school Superintendent Mike Leichliter plans an online meet-and-greet event on Tuesday, Oct. 25.

Leichliter started July 1 in his post leading the Harwood Unified Union School District and has since held several in-person meet-and-greet events in Waterbury, Waitsfield and Warren. In addition to the casual get-togethers at farmers markets, he took part in the Warren July 4 parade and recently helped judge a pie contest in Moretown.

The HUUSD School Board aimed to organize several opportunities for the new administrator to meet community members of all ages. The final one will be held on Tuesday via Zoom for anyone who has not had the chance to catch one of the earlier events.

The public is invited to join in online to ask questions and share comments, or just watch. The zoom session will be from 7 to 8 p.m. and it will use this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/386460007.

Anyone who just would like to view but not ask questions can watch on the school district’s YouTube channel at tinyurl.com/huwebapp-youtube-live

It’s also possible to email questions or comments beforehand to school board Chair Kristen Rodgers krodgers@huusd.org. Please put Zoom Q&A in the subject line.

Rodgers said they will try to answer as many questions as possible in the time available.
