Part 2: HUUSD Budget Community Survey Results

March 21, 2024 | By Lisa Loomis and Lisa Scagliotti

Note to readers: This is the second of two parts reporting on the community survey by Waterbury Roundabout and The Valley Reporter regarding the proposed 2024-25 Harwood Unified Union School District budget that failed to win voter approval on Town Meeting Day.

The newspapers collaborated on sharing an online survey asking readers to weigh in on how they voted, their reasons behind their votes, and their feedback looking ahead to a revote yet to be scheduled.

Read Part 1 here.

Below is the complete list of survey comments on two key questions in the survey: why people voted as they did on the school budget and what they would like to see in a revised budget in order to vote in favor of it.
