Conyers has been chosen for the 2025 Nationally Certified School Nurse Recognition Award.

The honor recognizes a school nurse who has been influential in promoting certification at the local, state, and national level to highlight competence and professionalism.

Nationally Certified School Nurses are registered nurses who demonstrate a high level of education, clinical practice experience, and knowledge, the state association explains. “This rigorous credentialing sets the professional standard for school nursing,” the announcement said.

A Nationally Certified School Nurse since 2018, Conyers has worked at Brookside Primary School since 2013 and is the lead nurse for the Harwood Unified Union School District. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2003 from James Madison University and a master’s in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing Education from Norwich University.

Conyers will receive the award in June at the National Association of School Nurses Annual Conference in Austin, Texas.
