The Waterbury Area Senior Center will hold its 2021 annual meeting via Zoom at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 22, and the public is invited to attend.

“We will introduce our board members and staff members and we will present an overview of the finances for the last year,” said Justin Blackman, chair of the board of directors.

“We will take a look at just some of the achievements in the past year. And we will speak to the particular challenges for the coming year, along with the opportunities to be working on,” Blackman said.

With a staff of three paid employees and numerous volunteers, the nonprofit center serves seniors in Waterbury and the surrounding communities of Duxbury, Bolton, Moretown and Middlesex with programs, activities and meals including Meals on Wheels delivery service for homebound seniors. Some of the center's annual funding comes from appropriations from local municipalities including $30,000 this year from Waterbury.

Blackman said the meeting should last about an hour to review the past year and look ahead to 2022.
