Local electric vehicle owners and enthusiasts are invited to Crossett Brook Middle School on Aug. 15 for the annual Waterbury LEAP Electric Vehicle Fest.

The free event will feature up to 20 vehicles on display for attendees to check out and talk with owners along with experts on EVs. Presentations will cover incentives, tax credits, charging, operating costs, vehicle ranges, etc.

Organizers promote choosing an electric car as a great way to significantly shrink fuel and maintenance costs, reduce environmental impact, and find a vehicle that's fun to drive.

Dave Roberts from Drive Electric Vermont will give attendees an update on the latest EVs and developments in charging infrastructure in Vermont. In addition to vehicles, there will be information and displays of electric yard equipment, ebikes, and more.

This all takes place outside – rain or shine – at Crossett Brook Middle School on Rt. 100 in Duxbury, 5:30-7 p.m.

Waterbury Local Energy Action Partnership (LEAP) is a volunteer, nonprofit organization and the town’s energy efficiency committee. For more information, email alaynahoward@gmail.com.
