‘The Farm Boy’ screenings honor the Battle of the Bulge

New screenings of Waterbury filmmaker George Woodard’s 2023 feature film, “The Farm Boy,” are taking place this month.
The World War II drama based on Woodard’s own family story and filmed largely on his Waterbury Center farm is on screen in Randolph, Montpelier and Essex, Jan. 13-25. The showings coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge (Dec. 15, 1944 – Jan. 25, 1945) which plays a role in the story.
Part of the proceeds from these showings will go to the Battle of the Bulge Association veterans organization.

Jan. 13, 6:30 p.m., Randolph Playhouse Movie Theater in Randolph. Tickets: general admission at the door; adults $10, seniors $8; 12 and under $7.
Jan. 19, 1 p.m., The Savoy Theater in Montpelier. Tickets: general admission at the door or in advance online, $15, $12.50 for seniors, students, military members.
Jan. 25, 1 p.m., Essex Cinemas in Essex. Tickets: general admission at the door.
