These classes are perfect for anyone seeking a relaxed approach to their physical yoga practice.

All ages are welcome. Participants should bring their own mat and props.

One True Thing Journaling

Mondays in January, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
“One True Thing” will take time to alternate between journaling, gentle movement (seated or standing), and restful stillness to soothe our busy minds. Let's take some time to slow down, embrace our intuition, and sift through the noise to find that one true thing. Bring a notebook/journal, something to write with, a blanket, and an open mind. Mondays, Jan. 8-29.

Fees: $8 for residents, $10 for non-residents

Cookie Decorating

Jan. 24, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Attend and learn decoration techniques from Waterbury Recreation Program Coordinator Katie Mandych. Everyone goes home with at least three decorated cookies.
Class is recommended for ages 10 and up. Minimum class size is five people. If there are not enough registrations by the week before January 24, those who are registered will be notified. Fee: $15

Winter Swim Lessons

Waterbury Recreation has partnered with Bolton Valley Resort to offer winter swim lessons on Sunday mornings starting Jan. 28. Lessons are for four weeks - no lesson on Feb. 18 - ending on Feb. 25. Waterbury Recreation follows the Starfish Swimming Lessons program and will offer three levels of instruction in this winter session: Star Babies, Pre-K White/Red, and Youth Blue. Lessons run 30 min. The arrangement with Bolton Valley also allows participants to have use of the pool for the rest of the day.
