The recently released centennial anniversary edition of Emily Post’s “Etiquette” book is the perfect occasion for Bridgeside Books on Dec. 1 to host Lizzie Post and Dan Post Senning of the Emily Post Institute for an in-person discussion on etiquette and civility.

“Awesome Etiquette LIVE” at Bridgeside Books will take the form of a conversation and Q&A with the attendees that mirrors their podcast broadcast format.

The audience is encouraged to come with etiquette questions about any topic. Especially timely are questions around holiday gatherings, workplace gifting, navigating situations with family members, and more.

Since 1922, the Emily Post Institute has been the go-to source for etiquette guidance. Cousins Lizzie Post of Burlington and Dan Post Senning of Duxbury are the great-great-grandchildren of Emily Post.

They have kept the tradition alive by taking over the Institute and bringing Emily Post into the 21st century with their successful American Public Media podcast titled “Awesome Etiquette”  with episodes full of timely and important tips, friendly advice, and answers to listeners’ questions. They’ve also updated the classic etiquette text just recently released.

A personable and dynamic presenter, Dan Post Senning specializes in relationship building in all areas of life, whether it is at home, at work, or online. He enjoys making the topic of etiquette useful and approachable to all audiences.

Lizzie Post offers a relatable perspective and delights in encouraging the individual to stand up for personal boundaries while respecting others. She takes on etiquette’s taboo topics with the media, making her a popular source.

The pair will be available to sign books at the event. Bridgeside owner Katya d’Angelo said the first printing of Etiquette has sold out and more copies are expected by the second week of December. Order in advance atBridgesideBooks.com for pickup before the holidays.
