Waterbury Winterfest will be back in 2023 and organizers invite new volunteers from the community to get involved with planning for the popular winter event.

The Winterfest Leadership Team has begun working on its lineup of outdoor and indoor events to run from Friday, Jan. 27, through Sunday, Feb. 5.

Winterfest president Roger Clapp said the group is brainstorming a theme and welcomes input. “We're looking for a theme that weaves together recognition, remembrance, and discovery,” Clapp said. “We’re still waiting for that to crystalize. Creative suggestions are welcome with a day's free excursion on the Winterfest Fat Bike for the one that gets picked.”

Leaders are meeting regularly now but not everyone needs to attend all meetings at this time.

Anyone interested in joining the Winterfest team, leading a specific event, or offering other support is encouraged to contact the group at waterbury.winterfest@grmail.com.
