Waterbury Center Church: Bean & Ham Dinner Sept. 16; winter clothing drive is on

The Waterbury Center Community Church hosts a Baked Bean & Ham Take-Out Supper next Friday, Sept. 16, and volunteers have begun collecting items for the annual winter clothing drive. 

Friday’s dinner will be served for take out and it will include home baked beans, baked ham, coleslaw, a roll and dessert. 

Dinners are priced at $12 and pickup will be 4-6 p.m. behind the church. Orders must be placed in advance by calling 802-244-7558. 

The church is located at 3582 Waterbury-Stowe Road next to Cold Hollow Cider Mill. 


Winter Clothing Drive 

The church also has begun its collection for the annual Winter Clothing Drive. 

Now through Oct. 10, donations of clean, gently used winter outerwear are being accepted. A bin is set up behind the church for coats and jackets of all kinds and sizes, boots, snow pants, scarves, mittens, gloves, etc.

Distribution will happen on Friday Oct. 21, 5-8 p.m., and on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All are welcome.
