James Michael Noel, 29, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Northfield, Vermont, on July 15, 2024. James was born on October 29, 1994, in Burlington, Vermont, the son of Clement Noel Jr. and Amy Sayah. He graduated from Milton High School in 2013 and attended Vermont Technical College in Randolph.

James worked at several local restaurants in Waterbury and for MTB Builders. He also worked alongside his father at Noel & Sons Builders. Some of his favorite interests were exploring the outdoors with his cats, hiking, camping, and cliff jumping. James was also an avid reader and gamer.

He is survived by his family: father Clement (Charlie) Noel Jr. and stepmother Tina Barup, of Waterbury, Vermont; mother Amy Sayah of Milton, Vermont; sister Alexis Noel and fiancé Ryan Ogiela of Danbury, Connecticut; grandfather Will Sayah of Waterbury; grandfather Clement Noel Sr. and Ruthie Noel of Underhill, Vermont; stepbrother Brett Barup of Waterbury; stepsister Brooke Barup, fiancé Jon Woodworth, and niece Josephine (Josie) Woodworth of Waterbury; as well as extended family and “the Billies.”

A celebration of James's life will be held on Sunday, July 21, 1 p.m. at Farr's Field (1901 U.S. 2, Waterbury). Light snacks will be served but those attending are asked to please bring a favorite beverage. Online condolences can be made at perkinsparker.com.
