Ambulance service to host free vaccine clinics in Waterbury, Dec. 12, 20, 23

December 8, 2023 | By Lisa Scagliotti

Waterbury Ambulance Service announced this week that it will hold three free flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinics in town in the next two weeks.

The clinics are organized in partnership with Vermont Center for Independent Living. These vaccine opportunities are free and open to anyone ages 6 months through 64 years. No insurance is necessary.

These clinics are walk-in, no appointment necessary. However, there is an option to schedule an appointment for anyone requesting accommodations such as receiving a vaccine in a vehicle or in a sensory-friendly space, or asking that vaccinators wear an N-95 mask to serve those who are immunocompromised. Such requests can be noted on the online appointment signup here

The first clinic will be Tuesday, Dec. 12, upstairs at the Main Street fire station 3 to 7 p.m. at the Best Western Waterbury-Stowe, 45 Blush Hill Road in Waterbury.

The other two vaccine clinics will be held at the Waterbury Ambulance station, 1727 Guptil Road in Waterbury Center. They are scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 20, from 3 to 6 p.m., and on Saturday, Dec. 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The clinics will offer flu and quadrivalent Moderna COVID vaccines. Pfizer and Novavax COVID vaccines will be offered should the ambulance service receive a supply of those brands.
