June 24 golf fundraiser for Central Vermont Pioneer Sled Hockey

Central Vermont Pioneer Sled Hockey hosts its annual fundraiser at Woodchuck Golf in Waitsfield all day on Saturday, June 24. 

Golfers from around the region are invited to play a casual round to benefit the nonprofit organization that gives people of all ages with physical challenges an opportunity to participate in an active, supportive team sport. Sled hockey team members for friendships and make memories to last a lifetime. Current team members are ages 6 through 65 and come from a variety of communities including Waterbury, Duxbury, Waitsfield, Warren and Burlington.

For the June 24 fundraiser, there is no set fee to enter and no prizes will be awarded. Participants are asked to enter with a donation of their choice. The organization also will gratefully accept donations from those who might say, “I don’t play golf, but would love to support the Pioneers.” 

Tee times available for two-four players at: 8 a.m., 9:15 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:15 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Contact Nancy Emory at nemory@gmavt.net or 802-496-9416 to reserve a time. 

Woodchuck Golf is a six-hole demanding course at 265 Palmer Lane in Waitsfield.
