After school and vacation camps
Waterbury Recreation is a licensed-exempted recreational program for children grades K-6. We focus on a variety of fun, enriching, and engaging activities such as sports, group games, field trips, and more. We are outside as much as the weather allows, and have fun indoor activities during poor weather and dark evenings.
The after school program runs from the end of school to 6 p.m. almost every school day, with the exception of closure dates listed on the website. Cost for Waterbury residents is $25/day or $100/week; non-residents $30/day or $120/week.
Vacation Mini-Camps are open for Thanksgiving week (Monday, Nov. 20 – Wednesday, Nov. 22) and for three days during December break (Wednesday, Dec. 27 – Friday, Dec. 29). Mini-camps operate from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. These camps will offer planned activities indoors and outdoors, in-town field trips, and free choice projects.
Registration is now open for 2023 afterschool and mini-camps online here.
Registration for 2024 after school and mini-camp programs opened on Thursday, Nov. 9.
