Not wanting to miss out on the annual Easter event for local children this year, the Waterbury Rotary Club will host a COVID-safe drive-through celebration next Saturday, April 3.

Similar to Santa in the Park in December, the drive-through Easter Bunny visit will include eggs with treats for kids to open and a chance to see the Easter Bunny and friends from your vehicle.

This year’s setup downtown at the Pilgrim Park parking lot will replace the annual parade and egg hunt usually held in the nearby field, Rotary organizers said.

The drive-through will happen from 11 a.m. to noon on April 3, the day before Easter. Children age 10 and younger are invited. Organizers emphasize that families attend in vehicles and do not approach on foot for safety reasons. Questions? Email allearsfan@yahoo.com.
