Not Quite Independence Day – a.k.a NQID – is a beloved annual celebration hosted by the Waterbury Rotary Club.

The 2023 festivities will be on Saturday, June 24, and Rotary is asking the community to help determine a theme for the event.

The theme will be used in designing a t-shirt, the parade, the floats, and the fireworks. The past two years’ themes have been “The Roaring 20s” and “Freedom & Unity.”

To submit your suggestion, please go to waterburyvtrotary.org/page/nqid and enter the contest using the online form.

Submit ideas by noon on Dec. 19. The new theme will be announced on Dec. 21.

The winner will be presented with a t-shirt once the design has been chosen. Imagine how fun the parade and event will be if your idea is recognized as the theme!

For questions, contact Rotary President Gwenna Peters at av8her@gmail.com.
