It’s a well-known fact that in addition to mass toy production and distribution, Santa Claus is a master of old-fashioned mass communication.

With the help of elves everywhere, Santa manages to read and respond to children’s letters each year before Christmas.

In Waterbury, the effort is strong with a team of helpers ready to process mail to Santa.

Letters to Santa Claus can be dropped off at special Santa mailboxes located inside the Waterbury and Waterbury Center post offices. Letters dropped at these boxes do not need postage.

If sent through the regular mail, however, letters must include a stamp and they must be addressed to Santa Claus at either the Waterbury Center Post Office, Waterbury Center, VT 05677, or the Waterbury Post Office, Waterbury, VT 05676.

Do not forget to sign and be sure to include a return address. Letters (not just lists) are a great way to practice writing skills.

The elves want to make sure to get the letters to Santa in time for a response back, so please, get them to the post office by Dec. 21.
