Children’s Room Tag Sale fundraiser returns to redistribute kids’ clothing, gear

The Children’s Room Tag Sale fundraiser returns Friday and Saturday, Oct. 15 and 16 at the Wesley United Methodist Church on South Main Street and volunteers will be accepting donations this week. 

The sale features gently used kids (ages 0-8) clothing and gear, toys, books, Halloween costumes and maternity items. Donations will be collected at the Foundry Street side entrance to the church from 10 a.m. to noon and 2:30-5:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 12-13; also on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2:30-6:30 p.m.

Organizers ask that donations be clean baby and kid’s fall or winter clothing, outerwear, shoes/boots, snow sports gear (such as small skis, skates, snowshoes, sleds), toys, books (one box of books per family), Halloween costumes, and baby gear. 

The sale cannot accept children’s car seats or booster seats, potties or bathtubs, furniture or stuffed animals. 

The sale itself will be held Friday, Oct. 15, 3-6 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 16, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Shoppers will be asked to wear a mask and the number of people inside the building may be staggered for social distancing.
