The Warren Public Library is offering a free babysitting course presented by UVM Extension 4-H leaders on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Geared toward 11-13 year-olds, the course will prepare teens to handle real-life babysitting situations from supervising children and choosing age-appropriate activities to preparing simple snacks, administering basic first aid, and dealing with emergencies.

It also will cover safety and good decision-making as well as the business of babysitting and what information to ask parents.

The class will meet at the Warren Public Library, 413 Main St., Warren. Participants should bring their lunch.

Attendance is limited to 20 students, so don’t hesitate to sign up. Register online at go.uvm.edu/babysit.
