Discover Waterbury, the tourism-focused arm of Revitalizing Waterbury, has launched a new website to promote Waterbury as a tourist destination.

The new site -- discoverwaterbury.com -- has features for visitors to use to make vacation plans.

Discover Waterbury markets and promotes Waterbury to encourage tourism, whether for day trips or longer stays. The site aims to highlight activities and experiences with feature sections covering  Arts & Culture, Biking, Hiking, Shopping, Craft Beverages, Dining, Water Activities and a walking tour. Each category includes ideas of where to go and how to spend time in Waterbury.

The site also includes a searchable business directory with social media links and an online calendar of activities of interest to visitors.

The website was designed and built by the team at Edgeworks Creative, in Waterbury. “They were able to take our vision and update the old website to make it more dynamic and engaging,” said Ariel Mondlak, RW marketing associate. “The new site is attractive, user-friendly, and is filled with fabulous information for anyone interested in coming to town.”

RW is a community development organization that serves to preserve, promote and enhance the economic, social and historic vitality of Waterbury, Vermont for businesses, residents and visitors. More information at revitalizingwaterbury.org.
